Space Monitoring Center launched in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New Space Monitoring Center has been commissioned in Uzbekistan. The center was launched at the Center for hydrometeorology service under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

The center was constructed on the base of Russian universal software and hardware complex UniScan-24, which was constricted by ScanEx Research and Development Center.

New complex with satellite of 2.4 meter diameter will allow to receive and process data from Terra and Aqua satellite. The system allows to get data from other satellites if additional equipment are installed.

The Russian company won a contact in the result of an open tender within a project on modernization of meteorological system.

In early April, ScanEx specialists launched the station and trained the Uzbek specialists to process raw data and work with equipment.

The system will allow to assess weather conditions, monitor forest fire, dust storms, condtion of agriculture products, etc.
