South Korea’s TG Co., Ltd. to support Uzbekistan in agricultural digitalization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — South Korea’s TG Co., Ltd. to support Uzbekistan in agricultural digitalizationRepresentatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture met with a delegation from South Korean company TG Co., Ltd. to discuss bilateral cooperation and the implementation of a new project.
During the meeting, the South Korean side presented a preliminary proposal for an international grant project aimed at developing a digital agricultural platform based on spatial data, taking climate change factors into account in the Tashkent region.
The primary goal of the project is to digitize agricultural land data for more efficient management and monitor crop areas using geographic information systems (GIS) and artificial intelligence technologies.
This initiative is expected to enhance climate adaptation, improve crop yields, and enable better forecasting of pest outbreaks and plant diseases.
As part of the project, a concept for the digital platform based on spatial data will be developed. This will involve studying legislation and information systems related to agricultural services.
The two sides also discussed the integration of AI-driven technologies, capacity-building programs for specialists from both countries, and the organization of training seminars.
Following the meeting, both parties agreed to proceed with the project according to the outlined plan.
