South Korean delegation pays visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of National IT Promotion Agency (NIPA, South Korea) led by its executive director Jun Youn Kim is paying an official visit to Uzbekistan from 31 July to 20 August 2011.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said that on 2 August it hosted a roundtable dedicated to feasibility study “Mobile payment systems in Uzbekistan”.

The event was planned during the visit of the Uzbek delegation to South Korea at international conference “Exchange of experience in ICT service sector”. The project is realized at support of the World Bank.

Representatives of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Banking Association, Uzbektelecom, Sarkor Telecom, Uzbektourism, Uzbekistan Airways, etc.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan developed cashless payment system SMS-To’lov». The system is aimed created favourable business environment in Uzbekistan, introduce ICT to small and private business sectors, as well as improve payment systems.

SMS-To’lov system is payment processing system, which carries out electronic payment between clients and companies with help of banking payment cards. The system allows to carry out payment in several seconds through any mobile handsets with help of SMS. The service is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Users of the system will be able fully use their resources at own banking payment cards. The system allows to pay to various gods and services in online mode. The clients should visit Universalbank with their passport, mobile handset and registers to the system. The bank officers will register client and install application to mobile handset, as well as issue unique login and password.

The clients can pay services of mobile operators, communal services, Internet services, services of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, public transport, fixed telephone lines, insurance, tax, etc.
