SOS Children’s Villages opens second youth house
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan Association held an opening ceremony of the second Youth House for its inmates in Tashkent city.

Representatives of the Board of the Association and representatives of the state bodies participated in the opening ceremony.

SOS Youth Houses is a part of SOS Children’s Villages and it is structure, which helps young people at the age of 15-16 to find their place in the society. The first house was launched in 2009 and already has good experience.

SOS Children’s Villages provide long-term, family-based care for children who have lost parental care, or who are at risk of losing it, and we support and strengthen families and communities to help prevent child abandonment.

SOS Children’s Villages have houses of family type and each child can live in comfort and security. So called SOS Mothers help children to feel family care.

SOS Youth Houses are created to teenagers, who are at the age of 15-16. These houses help teenagers to start their adult life, improve knowledge and skills under guidance of the leader and teachers, who help inmates to determine their future. They learn independently to plan their budget and run houses.
