Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, 968,140 children were born in Uzbekistan, which is 28,360 more children than in 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
The highest birth rate was recorded in Samarkand, Ferghana and Kashkadarya regions, and the lowest in Syrdarya region.
The total number of girls was 501,577 and boys 466,563.
