Some 78% of employed population in Uzbekistan work in non-state sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Share of employed in non-state sector of Uzbekistan made up 78.1% of total employed population in the first half of 2011 against 77.1% in the same period of 2010, the report of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee said.

In the reporting period, some 520,200 new jobs were created within territorial programmes, of which 67.8% were created in rural areas.

Significant part of jobs – 331,200 – was created by small and private businesses, including 131,800 in service sector. Number of created outworks made up 125,500 jobs.

In the first half, the growth of average salaries and pensions made up 28.1% and 24.5% respectively compared to the same period of 2010.
