Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to November 2024, 72,900 new small enterprises were registered in Uzbekistan, excluding farming and dehkan (private agricultural) households, according to the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

One out of every three enterprises operates in the trade sector. During this period, 26,400 trade enterprises, 12,400 industrial enterprises, and 8,700 agricultural enterprises were established in the country.

For comparison, during the same period in 2023, 81,000 small enterprises were registered. Trade, industry, and agriculture also remained the most popular sectors for small business ventures last year.

By the end of November 2024, the total number of active small enterprises in Uzbekistan reached 400,900 (excluding farming and dehkan households), with 38% of them operating in the trade sector.
