Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 7 million tourists from foreign countries visited Uzbekistan in 2023 compared to 5.2 million people in 2022.

About 5.6 million people arrived from neighboring countries, 1.4 million from other foreign countries.

Last year, exports of tourism services reached US$2.1 billion against US$1.6 billion in 2022.

In 2023, 183 new accommodation facilities were launched, as well as 356 family guest houses. As a result, 70,000 new jobs were created.

Within 12 months, when attracting investments, 508 projects were implemented totaling 9.5 trillion soums. Five villages were given the status of “Tourist Village”.
