Some 520,200 new jobs created in Uzbekistan in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan created over 520,200 new jobs in the first six months of 2011, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said at its session dedicated to the social-economic development of the country in the first six months of 2011.

The government’s session said that targeted measures helped to created 520,200 new jobs in Uzbekistan, including 352,600 in rural areas.

Uzbekistan is planning to create over 950,000 new jobs in 2011, including in rural areas. It is planned to create 600,000 new jobs in small business sector.

The Government of Uzbekistan is expecting to provide 450,000 jobs to graduates of professional colleges.
