Some 470 employment projects worth US$874 million implemented in Karakalpakstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Over the past 7 years, Karakalpakstan has implemented 6,784 projects totaling 17.8 trillion soums, resulting in the creation of 56,000 jobs. During this period, goods worth US$2.815 billion have been exported. This year alone, 470 projects have been launched in the republic with a total investment of US$874 million.

This ongoing process has seen foreign investors and entrepreneurs initiating 124 projects valued at US$9.5 billion in Karakalpakstan. The current administration has initiated 10 projects with an estimated value of around US$1.8 billion.

Companies from countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia, and Spain are investing in projects spanning energy, heating, mining, chemical industries, construction materials production, services, and more.

For instance, in collaboration with Saudi Arabia, the UK plans to enhance the centralized heating system in Nukus and construct solar and wind power stations in the Karauzyak district with Spanish investments. German investors are focusing on educational and production processing projects in the Nukus district.

These 124 projects are expected to create over 20,000 jobs.

The state is providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and accelerating project implementation.
