Some 410 women in Jizzakh region undergo diagnosis for breast cancer
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
About 410 women of Defence Ministry of Uzbekistan and spouses of servicemen from Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan underwent free diagnosis for breast cancer within the cooperation of the Ministry and “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association.
Fund Forum said that the main aim of the campaign is to raise awareness on breast cancer among women to reveal disease in early stages.
The organizers of the campaign in Jizzakh region were “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association, Women’s Council and the Ministry of Defence.
The fund said that some mamology doctor examined some 232 women, while oncologist-gynaecologist examined 126 women. Some 153 women underwent ultrasonic scanning. The doctors revealed three pre-cancer state and no cancer cases were recorded.
