Some 1.3 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in two months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan welcomed 1.3 million foreign tourists in January-February 2025. This marks a 37.1% increase (361,200 more visitors) compared to the same period of last year.
The majority of tourists came from neighboring countries:
Kyrgyzstan – 422,600 visitors
Tajikistan – 401,400 visitors
Kazakhstan – 199,000 visitors
Russia – 90,600 visitors
Afghanistan – 81,800 visitors
Turkmenistan – 48,900 visitors
Additionally, tourists arrived from Türkiye (22,500), China (14,000), India (10,300), and South Korea (5,300). Another 38,800 visitors came from other countries.
The increase in tourist arrivals highlights Uzbekistan’s growing appeal as a travel destination.
