Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In October and November, 112 export-oriented companies obtained resident status at IT Park, according to the technopark’s press service.
Out of these, 59 enterprises were created with foreign capital. Investors include companies from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, Malaysia, China, and Japan.
The main activities of the new IT Park residents include outsourcing (48 companies), providing IT services such as custom software development and technical support (41 companies), creating IT products (19 companies), and the creative sector, including gaming technologies (4 companies).
The new residents plan to create over 2,500 jobs in their first year and generate digital exports worth $70 million. Special attention is being given to opening offices in regions across the country.
Among the new technopark participants are international companies such as Portuguese-Hungarian financial planning solutions developer Karam, which has hired its first specialists from Uzbekistan. The company Inverson Operations opened an outsourcing office for IT consulting and information security for the Swiss and U.S. markets.
The Malaysian company Get-Academy will offer customer and technical support services, data processing, and human resource management. Beukitch EV plans to develop software for clients in the U.S. and Malaysia.
Canadian company Unolckware IT Services will open an office to develop software solutions for clients in North America and the Middle East. Fujiyama Logistics will hire specialists with knowledge of Japanese to work on supply chain management.
