Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law that introduced changes and additions to a number of legislative acts.

Amendments have been made to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Rent”, which abolish the basis for terminating a lease agreement in the event of a tenant’s disability.

According to the amendments made to the Law “On State Pension Provision of Citizens”, an increase in the period for payment of an accrued but not required pension by a pensioner is provided from 12 to 24 months. Citizens are also given the right to request a pension through public service centers or through the EPIGU portal (my.gov.uz).

The law defines the procedure for establishing the minimum pension at a level not lower than the minimum consumer spending and increasing the size of pensions taking into account the growth rate of the consumer price index for goods and services during the year.

Amendments have also been made to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Accumulative Pension Provision of Citizens”, according to which information on a citizen’s acquisition of the right to state pension provision, sent by the Pension Fund to the People’s Bank in electronic form through the information system, is the basis for receiving accumulative pension payments.
