Small and private businesses of Uzbekistan create 137,600 jobs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan created 219,000 new jobs in line with the territorial programmes in the first quarter 2011, the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee said in a joint material.
In line with the state bodies, about 70% of jobs were created in the rural areas in the reporting period.
About 137,600 jobs or 62.9% of total number were created by the small businesses and private entrepreneurs.
The material said that some 54,200 work-outs were created in Uzbekistan due to implementation of measures in this direction.
Uzbekistan is planning to create over 950,000 new jobs in 2011, including in rural areas. It is planned to create 600,000 new jobs in small business sector.
The Government of Uzbekistan is expecting to provide 450,000 jobs to graduates of professional colleges.
