Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Skoltech, in collaboration with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), has opened the first center for the development of advanced competencies in Uzbekistan based on Russian technologies. The press service of ASI reported this news.

The project, titled "Attraction Point," was presented to the President of Russia during the plenary session of the "Strong Ideas" forum, organized by ASI in cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation.

According to the press service, the idea of creating such centers focused on advanced technologies was among the top ten ideas presented at the forum.

As explained by Yaroslav Paunov, Director of ASI’s Human Capital Development Division, the primary task of the new center will be to meet the staffing and technological needs of both the government and businesses in the region. The center will work with universities and development institutes to identify and retrain specialists using Russian technologies.

"Companies will gain access to highly qualified personnel reserves, innovative developments, and opportunities for international cooperation. In turn, governments will benefit from reducing the personnel deficit, stabilizing the labor market, accelerating innovation, and strengthening international ties," emphasized Paunov.
