The company said that the selection was conducted among 21 candidates on six directions - petroleum engineering, electric and electronic engineering, chemical technology, machinery, civil construction, as well as oil and gas geology and geophysics.
The Uzbek company said that the students will study at PETRONAS Technological University in Tronoh, Malaysia.
Uzbekneftegaz stated that Petronas already financed education of 21 students within its programme.
Malaysia’s PETRONAS participates in several oil and gas projects in Uzbekistan, including in the project on construction of the GTL plant.
