Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Surkhandara region, the brakes of a Damas car failed, causing it to collide with the wall of a barn, resulting in the death of six people.
On 21 April, at about 17:30, on the section of the local road “Boysun - Duoba”, in the mahalla “Inkabod” of Baysun district, a driver born in 1974 violated the rules for transporting passengers in Damas (there were 8 people in the car), and lost control on a steep slope. This was reported by the press service of the Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Surkhandarya region.
It is noted that the car has a brake system malfunction. As the car approached a dangerous bend, it left the road and crashed into the barn wall of a local house.
As a result of the accident, three minor children and three women inside the car were killed.
The Damas driver was taken to an area hospital with injuries.
A criminal case has been initiated into this fact and an investigation is underway.
