Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sino-Wind Energy, a Chinese company, plans to establish a wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the company’s director, Ma Yinhua, in an interview with O‘zbekiston 24.
During a recent presentation to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Navoi region, the project’s cost was revealed to be US$50 million.
The project also includes national content (the share of goods, services, technologies, and labor produced and provided locally), which will amount to US$10 million (20% of the total cost). The share of local raw materials in the manufacturing process will be 28% (US$14 million). This project will enable Uzbekistan to fully offset imports worth US$82 million.
The new plant is scheduled to launch on 20 December 2025.
The company’s head emphasized that the products will also be targeted at the Central Asian market. He noted that large spaces are required for the production and transportation of the turbine blades due to their substantial size.
