On 29 August, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to further improve the project management system in the field of information and communication technologies”.

A single integrator is created on the basis of the Center for Development and Implementation of Computer and Information Technologies “Uzinfocom” of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan.

The integrator will ensure development, implementation and integration of information systems, resources and software products in the Electronic Government system and information technologies in the economic sectors.

Also, the integrator will install hardware and software systems and prepare the appropriate project and technical documentations.

The new structure will implement measures to improve the quality of electronic public services to the public and business entities.

According to the document, the integrator will contribute to development of the domestic market of information and communication technologies and software products through the systematic involvement of domestic enterprises and organizations in the implementation of the projects of the Electronic Government system and introduction of information technologies in the economic sectors.

The integrator is instructed to implement measures to ensure technological security of the infrastructure of the Electronic Government system, information systems, resources and software products of state bodies, economic management bodies, state enterprises and organizations.

The single integrator will implement information systems and networks of inter-agency electronic interaction and information exchange between government agencies and other organizations, including within the framework of the Unified National Information System of Project Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
