Singer Shirin Abdullayeva passes away at 19
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shirin Abdullayeva, a talented young singer, has passed away at the age of 19. The news of her death was confirmed by the Committee on Family and Women's Affairs.
According to preliminary reports, the cause of her passing was meningitis. She had been in a coma for nearly two months before succumbing to the illness.
Born on 14 December 2005, in Namangan, Shirin displayed a passion for music from an early age. She began singing at the age of three, wrote her own songs, and participated in both national and international music competitions. She also explored opportunities in the film industry.
In 2023, Shirin was awarded the prestigious Zulfiya State Prize in the field of arts. Her songs, including Luli, Metro, and Bezori, gained widespread popularity, amassing millions of views on YouTube.
In 2021, she competed in the Russian music show You Are Super! on NTV, reaching the semifinals.
At the time of her passing, Shirin was a student at the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing.
She was the youngest daughter of Bahodir Abdullayev, a well-known entrepreneur from Namangan and the founder of BA Holding.
