A delegation of Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade and other departments of Uzbekistan participated at the forum along with business circles of Singapore.

Tony Chew Leong Chee, Chairman of Singapore Business Federation, said the business forum shows increasing interest of Singaporean business circles for expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan. He added that this interest is due to economic stability and favourable investments climate, created by the government of Uzbekistan.

The report said that Singaporean entrepreneurs expressed great interest to event as over 100 local companies participated at the forum.

Tony Chew Leong Chee said that organization of such events can serve for expanding and deepening trade-economic cooperation, including in investment interaction.

During the meeting, participants received information on created conditions and opportunities in Uzbekistan for establishment of mutual beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Singapore.

Participants also familiarized with social-economic development of Uzbekistan, priority directions of attracting investments to oil and sector, chemistry industry, electronics, light and food industry, automobile construction, machinery, construction materials, agriculture and tourism.

Federation of Textile and Fashion of Singapore hosted a roundtable, which was dedicated to presentation of investment and trade potential of light industry of Uzbekistan.

Participants received information on establishing cooperation in regional level, as well as textile projects for joint implementation.
