Sinara - Transport Machines plans to supply six diesel locomotives to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian holding Sinara - Transport Machines plans to supply six shunting diesel locomotives to Uzbekistan in 2024, TASS reports, citing the words of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Evgeny Kuyvashev.

“We signed a contract with Uzbekistan two years ago for the supply of diesel locomotives, the first of which have already been delivered, and the next batch of six diesel locomotives will be delivered next year,” Kuyvashev noted.

The Sinara - Transport Machines holding has already supplied 5 shunting diesel locomotives to Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Sinara group added that the holding’s specialists have trained personnel in the operation and maintenance of the machines, and it is also planned to open service centers in 2024 for warranty and service maintenance.

In addition, the delegations were presented with the investment project “Development of the Yeshlik-1 deposit” for the construction of a copper concentration plant in Uzbekistan, which began in 2021 under the leadership of Uralmashzavod.

The facility is planned to be put into operation in 2024. “We are also building the Almalyk mining and processing plant in cooperation with Uzbekistan,” Kuyvashev added.

In April 2022, the STM trading house, part of the Sinara - Transport Machines holding, entered into an agreement with the Uzbek company Enter Engineering for the supply of five shunting locomotives of the TEM9 and TEM14 series until the end of 2022.

It is noted that this is the first delivery of high-performance equipment of the holding to Uzbekistan since Soviet times.
