SILK ROAD FAMILY RESORT opens on the coast of Tudakula

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A resolution of the President of Uzbekistan No. 4755 from 19 June 2020 envisages the development of water recreation and beach tourism by creating and developing a tourist zone on the territory of Lake Tudakul, establishing regular bus routes to transport passengers to the lake, developing tourism and the adjacent infrastructure with the involvement of business entities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Head of State, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov, together with the khokimiyats of Navoi and Bukhara regions, with a visit to the field, discussed reforms aimed at accelerating the development of tourism and shared appropriate recommendations on organizing a tourist resort for coast of Tudakula.

On 16 August, the official opening of the modern resort area "Silk Road Family Resort" took place. The organizers of the event were the State Committee for Tourism Development, khokimiyats of Bukhara and Navoi regions. The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy khokim of the Bukhara region Botir Shakhriyov, the deputy khokim of the Navoi region Kamoliddin Khasanov, the khokim the Kiziltepa district Shabon Nabiyev and other responsible leaders.

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan, a welcoming speech by Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov was read. “Today, our country is taking urgent measures to develop the tourism industry in accordance with the conditions of the pandemic.

In this regard, in accordance with the Decree of the Republican Special Commission from 12 August, from 15 August, the movement of vehicles, local airlines and railway flights has been resumed, the activities of sanatoriums, boarding houses, children’s camps, hotels, guest houses, beaches, hostels and other resorts have been restored, which opens up great opportunities for tourism. This facility, which is being commissioned as soon as possible, is a project approved during the visits of the President of Uzbekistan in March 2019 to this territory, the launch of which is planned in two stages "

According to the project of this resort, which meets high international standards, construction processes are planned to be completed by 2022, and the total project cost of the beach, resort, health complex and water park, being built on the coast, is 6 million US dollars.

On the area of the object of 15.0 hectares, adjacent to the coast of Tudakul, at the first stage it will be possible to receive 500 people, and at the second - more than 1500 vacationers and tourists. After the launch of this tourist resort, it is planned to create more than 150 new jobs. With the start of the project at full capacity, within the first month, the expected amount of income will be 4.5 billion soums, and in the future - up to 40 billion soums.

For the purpose of landscaping of the territory of the facility, where it is planned to plant 7,000 decorative trees, 3,000 seedlings have been planted to this day, and natural lawns have been laid along the beach facility.

This tourist facility also includes various additional services such as a beach, a swimming pool, sunbathing, a water park, a small Disneyland, a hotel with 50 seats, resting chairs, a restaurant in the form of a ship, a summer terrace, a spa, a house outdoors, a medical corner, a wellness center, a sports lodge, an equestrian area, a car park and private water transport. In addition, for entertaining recreation, various concerts and show programs for visitors will be organized in the open air.

All this contributes to the further development of tourism in Uzbekistan, an increase in the flow of local and foreign tourists, the provision of local residents with additional jobs and, thus, an increase in their well-being.
