Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first regional airline of Uzbekistan, Silk Avia, starts commercial flights from 25 April this year.

Ticket sales started today.

Weekly flights will operate on the following routes:

• Tashkent - Termez - Tashkent (2 times a week);
• Tashkent - Navoi - Tashkent (2 flights per week);
• Tashkent - Namangan - Tashkent (4 times a week);
• Tashkent - Karshi - Tashkent (4 times a week);
• Tashkent - Bukhara - Urgench - Bukhara - Tashkent (5 times a week);
• Tashkent - Samarkand - Urgench - Samarkand - Tashkent (7 times a week).

“While we have three aircraft in operation, we are introducing the most popular routes into the schedule, providing for convenient departure and arrival times recommended by tour operators. We also tried to connect not only Tashkent with the regions, but also the regions among themselves. As new aircraft are received, the schedule will change and expand. The depth of sales at the first stage is one month. During this first month, we must analyze the real demand and make the tariffs more flexible. In the future, it will be possible to purchase tickets for a longer period - up to six months,” the press service of the airline noted.

At the first stage, three tariffs were developed, differing in parameters and price. The simplest ODDIY fare is ideal for traveling light. The fare only envisages hand luggage 5 kg (the bag must fit in a special sizer - 40cm30cm20cm), and does not provide for baggage, refunds and rebooking tickets. The OSON fare is also "luggage free" and differs from the budget fare in the possibility of issuing a ticket refund or rebooking it for another date. The OMAD fare, the most expensive in this line, includes baggage up to 20 kg, rebooking and ticket refund.

“Our task was to create a low-cost airline that quickly, reliably and inexpensively transports people across the republic from point A to point B. Flights are short - from an hour to two hours. There is no food on board, no blankets, pillows, napkins and other things that significantly increase the cost of the ticket. We distribute only water in 0.25 liter plastic bottles. Thanks to this, we were able to bring the price of an air ticket close to the cost of rail transport,” added the press service of the carrier.
