Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Regional airline Silk Avia launches international flights. The first passenger flight is scheduled for 26 August on the route Tashkent-Issyk-Kul-Tashkent.

Regular charter flights to Kyrgyzstan will be carried out twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays - until the end of the holiday season. Thus, the air carrier will operate five international flights in this direction - on 26 and 30 August, as well as on 2, 6 and 9 September. Ticket sales will open on 21 August.

The flights will be carried out on ATR72-600 medium-haul turboprop aircraft, which are part of the fleet of Silk Avia. Aircraft of this type can accommodate up to 70 passengers.

Silk Avia launched regular flights to the cities of Uzbekistan on 25 April and transported about 42.5 thousand passengers in four months of flights. The air carrier made its first international flight on 5 August, linking Tashkent and Issyk-Kul.
