Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first regional airline Silk Avia launches flights on another international route - Samarkand - Turkestan - Samarkand.

The first demo voyage will be carried out on 14 October on a charter basis. Flight time is 1 hour 20 minutes. Ticket prices start from 920 thousand soums one way. The fare includes 5kg hand luggage and 20kg baggage. 

“Flights from Samarkand to Turkestan are planned to be transferred to regular status in the future. Also, at the initiative of the Kazakh side, the airline is considering introducing flights to Turkestan from Fergana,” added the press service of the air carrier.

Silk Avia began operating regular flights to the cities of Uzbekistan on 25 April 2023. The air carrier made its first international flight to Issyk-Kul in August of this year. The fleet of the air carrier, which positions itself as a low-cost airline, operates three ATR72-600 aircraft with a capacity of 70 seats.
