Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sijak resort complex in Tashkent region, previously owned by Gulnara Karimova, has been transferred to the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan as government property.
According to a Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution from 27 December 2024, the resort was added to the list of properties transferred to the Federation. This list was approved in March 2023.
The resort is located in the "Sarbog" neighborhood of Bostanlyk district in Tashkent region and was previously owned by the elder daughter of Uzbekistan’s first president, Gulnara Karimova.
The complex was confiscated in 2017 by a decision of the Tashkent regional court.
Initially, the complex was put up for public auction in March 2021, but no buyers were found. In October 2022, it was put up for sale again, starting at a price of over 70 billion soums.
