Siemens conducts lecture “Smart cities and intelligent buildings”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Siemens in cooperation with the Tashkent Architecture and Construction Institute organized a lecture “Smart Cities and Intellectual Buildings” for students.

The lecture was conducted by Dr. Julia Alexander, Head of the Cities Development Division of Siemens, one of the world’s leading experts in implementation of digital technologies in urban infrastructure, co-author of the book Smart Cities in the Digital Age.

Julia Alexander held seminars on Siemens solutions for the "Safe City" project in Tashkent, as well as in the tourist centers of our republic - the cities of Khiva, Samarkand and Kokand.

The lecture highlighted the methods of using digital solutions in development of smart city projects. Presented methods, supported by concrete examples of implemented projects around the world, clearly demonstrated how modern digital technologies contribute to reducing energy consumption of buildings, improving the urban environment, comfort and safety of residents.

The lecture considered one of the brightest examples of the "green building", with the lowest energy consumption - the business center The Crystal in London. This building is unique in its characteristics of resource consumption. Fully uses renewable energy sources to support life support systems: lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc.

Dr. Alexander noted the fact that future specialists will be able to use this knowledge based on digital algorithms, the founder of which is Al Khorezmiy.
