Sidorsky suggested having the community’s transport and energy strategy approved at the next session of the council, Prime-Tass reported.

Russia hopes all EurAsEC member-states will join the Customs Union, Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov said.

According to him, the package of documents to form the union will be signed after the session in addition to the four deals inked by the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan earlier. We hope the remaining members of the community [Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan] will join the union as soon as they are ready,” Zubkov said.

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Masimov suggested the council continue considering collective utilization of water and energy resources of the Central-Asian region and forming a common energy market.

Kirgizstan’s Prime Minister Igor Chudinov noted the importance of harmonized energy transit policies and migration efforts.
