Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shunsuke Nakamura has tried to lower expectations as Japan travel to Uzbekistan for their 2010 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The Blue Samurai need just three points from their final three games in Group A to secure a spot at their fourth successive global competition.

Japan are second in the group with 11 points from six games.

After back-to-back 4-0 wins against Chile and Belgium in Japan at the end of May, the Celtic star has warned against over-confidence and wants his team-mates to stay focused.

"You can’t really feel like worthy winners unless you are beating strong opponents," said Nakamura.

"It won’t go as smoothly when we play Uzbekistan.

"I want to move up a gear in our first practice session over there and don’t want the kind of atmosphere where players laugh at mistakes."

Uzbekistan need to win to keep alive their hopes of third place and a crack at the play-offs.
