Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 September, Tashkent hosted the “Digital UZBEKISTAN” forum as part of the ICTWEEK 2019 Week.

The Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadikov addressed the forum with a welcoming speech. He noted that this forum makes a worthy contribution to resolving issues of further development of information and communication technologies, the digital formation of the economy and society, and helps to strengthen the position of Uzbekistan in the global information space.

The event was attended by representatives of the Republic of Belarus, Russia, China, Britain, Ukraine, South Korea. Presentations of a number of IT companies were also held during the forum.

In order to strengthen relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan, further close cooperation, the Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus, Konstantin Shulgan, made a welcoming speech at the forum. He briefly talked about the prospects for cooperation between countries.

The forum analyzed the contradictions, evaluated the development potential and the possibility of its implementation. The event was attended by heads of government bodies, heads of enterprises and organizations in the field of information technology and communications, international experts and analysts, representatives of large domestic and foreign IT companies.
