Shukhrat Ganiev appointed as Ferghana regional governor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree on appointing governor of Ferghana region on 14 December 2012.

According to the presidential decree, Shukhrat Ganiev has been appointed as the governor of Ferghana region.

Shukhrat Ganiev has been working as the acting governor of Ferghana region since November 2011.

Prior to appointment, he worked as the first deputy governor of Ferghana region on agriculture and water management issues.
