Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An extraordinary sixth session of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan has approved the appointment of a new prosecutor for the republic.

The session, chaired by Amanbay Orynbaev, was attended by Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev, representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the government of Karakalpakstan, heads of law enforcement agencies, and media representatives.

The candidacy of Shokhrukh Aminov, previously serving as Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan, was submitted for consideration. Over the years, he has also headed the prosecutor’s offices of the Syrdarya and Navoi regions, earning a reputation as an effective leader.

Following the vote, deputies supported the nomination, and Shokhrukh Aminov was appointed Prosecutor of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
