Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Chinese company Shiyan Zhenke Industrial Technology intends to start producing special equipment in Ferghana region, the press service of the regional hokimiyat said in a statement.
The khokim of Ferghana region Khayrullo Bozorov held negotiations with Zhao Xian, the head of Shiyan Zhenke Industrial Technology, discussing the establishment of special equipment production.
The khokimiyat noted that negotiations on this project began in June 2024 during the hokim’s visit to Beijing.
The investment project is valued at US$40 million and will be implemented in two stages.
In the first stage, the Chinese company will create assembly, welding, and painting lines with an investment of US$20 million, allowing the production of 500 units of special equipment per year.
In the second stage, production will increase to 100 units per month, with an additional investment of US$20 million. The full completion of the project will take three years. The produced equipment will be marketed domestically under a new local brand.
The khokim of Ferghana region expressed full support for the Chinese project, emphasizing its export potential to Central Asian countries, where there is a high demand for special equipment. Shiyan Zhenke Industrial Technology plans to explore opportunities for placement in small industrial zones and the SEZ "Kokand".
