Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The first deputy minister of preschool and school education of Uzbekistan has been appointed.

Sherzod Karimov has become the first deputy minister of preschool and school education.

Previously, he held the position of head of the department for youth policy, as well as preschool and school education, healthcare, and spirituality in the department of "Mahalla Yettiligi," youth policy, and spirituality issues of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In his new role, he succeeded Usmon Sharifkhojaev, who was appointed deputy director of the Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
