Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 May, the khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov met with the managing director of DP World Central Asia Region (Dubai) Raj Jit Singh Wallia.

At the beginning of the conversation, Shavkat Umurzakov spoke about the large-scale reforms that are currently being carried out in Tashkent, about the investment climate created in the city and in the country as a whole thanks to the policy of openness pursued by the country’s leadership, as well as about the conditions and guarantees created for foreign investors.

He also provided additional information about ongoing and planned major projects in the capital and expressed his readiness to provide full support for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Raj Jit Singh Wallia expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and spoke about the capabilities, goals and mission of his company. He stated that the company is ready for reliable and transparent cooperation, recognizing the high potential of the capital in this regard. He also expressed confidence that the meeting, held on the eve of a major international event - the Investment Forum, will lead to mutually beneficial and positive results.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue mutual discussions.
