Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make a working visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev.

As part of the visit, which will take place from 23 to 24 November, the head of Uzbekistan will take part in the first summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in Baku.

Summit participants will discuss issues of further expanding multilateral cooperation within the program, creating a Trust Fund to support regional projects, adopting a road map for the digitalization of transport corridors, as well as promoting business initiatives.

The SPECA program, established in 1998, aims to promote the development of economic cooperation and integration of the countries of the region (Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) into the world economy.

As part of the event, an economic forum and an exhibition of the industrial potential of Central Asian countries are also being held in Baku.
