Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 September 2024, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will travel to Astana for a working visit to participate in the second summit of Central Asian and German leaders, at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The summit will focus on further strengthening multi-faceted cooperation between the countries of the region and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Particular attention will be given to the development of practical aspects of collaboration in priority areas such as trade, economy, investment, technology, transport, and communications. A meeting with leaders of major German companies and banks is also planned.

It is worth noting that the first summit in the "Central Asia - Germany" format was held on 29 September 2023, in Berlin.
