Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the appointment of the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.

According to the decree, Ayubkhon Kamalov was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.

He oversees the activities of the Central Bank in the field of organizing cash circulation, coordinating methodological work in the banking system, work with personnel, monitoring the activities of commercial banks in the field of socio-economic development of regions, monitoring the activities of commercial banks for financial support of business entities, as well as administrative affairs.

Prior to his appointment, A. Kamalov was the head of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on macroeconomic analysis, structural reforms, financial and banking system, management of state assets, development of competition, support of entrepreneurship and poverty reduction.

Until today, Saidkakhkhor Muhammadkarim, who worked as Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, was appointed First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.
