Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan.

The parties discussed further expanding practical cooperation in key areas, based on the agreed "roadmap." Special attention was given to the outcomes of the President of Uzbekistan's visit to the UAE in January this year, during which bilateral relations were elevated to the level of strategic partnership.

Mutual trade volumes continue to grow, with an increasing number of joint ventures and direct flights. The project portfolio involving leading Emirati companies amounts to about $20 billion.

The perspectives for cooperation in "green" energy, the electrical engineering industry, agriculture, as well as issues related to the modernization of water management, municipal, and transport infrastructure in Uzbekistan's regions were also discussed.

Additionally, the parties discussed preparations for upcoming high-level events.
