Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s meeting with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair in Baku has opened new avenues for enhancing Uzbek-British relations.
The discussion centered on potential cooperation with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, which Blair heads.
Tony Blair praised Uzbekistan's extensive reforms and expressed interest in providing expert support for their implementation.
The priority areas for collaboration with the Institute include the development of transport corridors, access to new markets, the introduction of international payment systems, improvement of investment policy effectiveness, among others.
The parties agreed to hold additional expert-level meetings to identify specific areas for cooperation.
