Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the Russian Federation led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The delegation also included Ministers Alexey Chekunov and Sergey Kravtsov. The discussions focused on strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations and implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
Dmitry Chernyshenko conveyed greetings from President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of expanding educational and humanitarian cooperation, including the opening of new branches of leading Russian universities in Uzbekistan and the training of qualified educators.
The significance of a joint "roadmap" for establishing partnerships between Uzbekistan and the Far Eastern regions of Russia was also highlighted. Additionally, plans were discussed to increase tourism exchanges and conduct joint cultural and sporting events, which would enhance mutual understanding and cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries.
