Shavkat Mirziyoyev: "In the next seven years, US$1 billion will be allocated for the development of science and innovation"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The eleventh congress of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is being held today at the Congress Hall complex in Tashkent.

Presidential candidate of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that he will focus on 5 main areas in his election program.

The first direction is education, that is, the creation of suitable conditions for each person to realize his potential.

“We are starting programs to bring preschool and school education to a new stage. First of all, by 2030 the need for preschool education will be fully satisfied, the coverage of preschool organizations will be increased to 100%. To do this, the costs of manufacturing enterprises for the construction of kindergartens will be completely exempt from taxes. The cost of maintaining children from needy families in kindergartens will be covered by the state. Kindergartens and schools will be fully provided with filtered drinking water. Pre-school educational organizations will introduce the distribution of milk enriched with proteins, vitamins and minerals, as well as bread products enriched with iodine. In order to teach children modern technologies from an early age, each kindergarten will be equipped with a computer class. This benefit will also apply if these children attend private preschool educational organizations,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Primary school students will be fully provided with educational tablets. In remote areas, free provision of school buses will be introduced. This was stated in his speech at the congress of UzLiDeP Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During his speech at the congress, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that in order to create conditions in the field of mastering foreign languages, in the next seven years, native-speaker teachers from abroad will be attracted to all schools of the republic.

For these purposes, it is planned to allocate 200 billion soums annually. In cooperation with foreign higher education institutions included in the world’s top 500, at least 50 joint educational programs and the "double diploma" system will be introduced.
