Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has extended his condolences to Chinese President Xi Jinping following the heavy flooding in Beijing and Hebei Province that caused numerous casualties, injuries, and widespread destruction.

In his message, the head of state expressed his deepest sympathy and support to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to all those affected.

Torrential rains hit Beijing from 23 to 29 July, with the districts of Miyun, Huairou, Yanqing, and Pinggu suffering the most. According to the latest reports, the death toll from the floods has exceeded 40.
