Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his deep condolences and words of support to the families and friends of those killed in a car accident in Aktobe region.

The head of our state in his letter also thanked for the comprehensive assistance provided by the Government of Kazakhstan to the special Government Commission and departments of Uzbekistan in determining the causes of the traffic accident and transporting the bodies of dead citizens to their homeland.

On 3 April, an accident occurred on the Samara-Shymkent highway involving a Volvo truck and a Toyota-Alhpard minivan, as a result of which the driver of the minivan and 7 of his passengers died at the scene. All of them were citizens of Uzbekistan.
