Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Samarkand, where high-level meetings are scheduled.

As part of the visit, the head of state is set to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

Talks are also expected with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is due to arrive in Uzbekistan for an official visit later in the day.
