Shavkat Mirziyayev re-elected as Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister

Shavkat Mirziyayev was re-elected to the post of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan on Wednesday, 27 January 2010.
Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a joint meeting on Wednesday and approved candidacy of Mirziyayev.
Candidacy of Mirziyayev was supported by 149 of 150 MPs of the Legislative Chamber and all 100 Senators.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov proposed candidacy of Shavkat Mirziyayev to the post of the Premier Minister.
