Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 12th Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival will be held in Samarkand from 26 to 30 August 2019.

On 26 February 2019, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to prepare for the holding of the international music festival Sharq Taronalari”.

The resolution was adopted to further enhance the prestige of the international music festival “Sharq Taronalari”, recognized by the international organization UNESCO as a major music forum, embodying noble goals aimed at strengthening cooperation and harmony among the nations of the world, preserving and developing the traditions of musical art dialogue.

The festival will host an international scientific-practical conference "Prospects for the development of traditional musical art of the peoples of the East."
