Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solemn ceremony dedicated to the presentation of the certificate “Tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization in 2024” took place in the city of Shakhrisabz.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri, the khokim of the Kashkadarya region Murotjon Azimov, the khokim of the city of Shakhrisabz Sherzod Boriev, as well as heads of delegations of the ECO member states and high-ranking guests.

ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri presented the khokim of the city of Shakhrisabz Sherzod Boriev with a special certificate confirming the status of “Shakhrisabz - the tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization in 2024.”

The ceremony continued with a concert program. Guests of the evening had the opportunity to enjoy the melodies of opera performers, fiery folk dances, and orchestra performances.

The participants of the event were shown a fashion show “Modest Fashion Show” with the participation of designers from ECO member states. Famous designers from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as 5 domestic designers took part in it. The designers presented to the guests a collection of historical, national and modern trends, which included more than 160 costumes.
